Petrotech Southeast Timeline
Petrotech Southeast, Inc. (“Petrotech”) was founded by Tony Yates and was originally based in Pompano, FL, operating an industrial wastewater and used oil recycling facility. Mr. Yates was a proud family man and hired his son Jeffrey Yates as the first employee and Plant Manager for the Pompano facility.
As the company grew, so did its need for a larger facility. In 2010, the company moved from its 2-acre facility in Ocoee to an 8-acre facility with an 18,000 square foot warehouse in Astatula, FL. A new tank farm with over 350,000-gallons of storage and expanded processing capacity was built from the ground up. In addition to the enhanced used oil, antifreeze, and oily water processing capabilities, the new facility allowed Petrotech to perform in-house solid waste processing of drummed waste such as absorbents and paper filters, but also perform sludge solidification of non-hazardous oily waste.
As one of the leading tank cleaning and demolition companies in the State of Florida, Petrotech worked closely with several tank inspection companies. In 2018, Petrotech acquired the assets of Tank Engineering and Management, Inc., a company with offices in Mulberry, FL and Indianapolis, IN. The company has over 30 years of experience in the field and is capable of performing API-653 tank inspections, API-510 pressure vessel inspections, API-570 pipeline inspections, STI SP-001 tank inspections and a full array of non-destructive testing methods.
